This 14-day hiking tour offers an extensive exploration of the Lycian Way, one of Turkey's most famous long-distance trails. Starting from Fethiye and ending in Antalya, this journey combines the best of Lycia's natural beauty and historical significance.
This is a challenging hiking tour that requires a good level of fitness. You will be hiking for several hours each day on varied terrain. The tour includes a mix of coastal and inland routes, with some ascents and descents.
This 14-day program takes you on an unforgettable hike on the most beautiful trails of the Lycian Way. Extending from Fethiye to Kaş, this route offers a wide variety of landscapes, from ancient cities to natural beauties, from the coasts of the Mediterranean to the foothills of the Taurus Mountains.
Our team will meet you at Dalaman Airport and transfer you to our hotel in Fethiye/Kayaköy after about an hour's journey. After checking into the hotel, your free time begins. Kayaköy is a fascinating settlement with its historical texture and natural beauties. Here you can visit the abandoned Greek neighborhood known as the "Ghost Village". If you wish, you can visit Afkule Monastery, explore the surroundings by renting a bicycle, or take a walk to Fethiye city center.
The first 5 km of this hike will be accompanied by impressive views, and you will ascend from 300 meters to 800 meters. This route, stretching from Kayaköy to Faralya, offers a magnificent experience with the combination of the blue of the sea and the green of the forests.
The distance between Faralya and Kabak is approximately 7 km, and the water you bring with you will be sufficient for this distance. There are markets and a water source in Kabak. The hike from Kabak to Alınca is 9 km. Faralya and Kabak Beach are famous for their natural beauties. Kabak is an ideal place for swimming and relaxing with its clear waters and calm atmosphere.
After breakfast, we start our hike from Alınca to Ge Köyü. This approximately 9 km route is full of forest roads and ancient paths. Yediburunlar, known as Hiera Akra (Sacred Cape) in ancient times, consists of 7 capes and is an important passage of the ancient Lycian Way.
We reach Ge Köyü with a short 15-minute transfer, and from this village with Lycian-era ruins, we start walking towards Belceğiz. We arrive at Gavurağılı with sea views.
After a short transfer, we start our hike from Delikkemer. Delikkemer is a Roman-era aqueduct that brings water to Patara. The road will take you to the ancient city of Patara, one of the capitals of the Lycian League.
After breakfast, we provide a transfer from Patara to the starting point of the Kaş hike. Starting from Kaş, you can walk on the Lycian Way along the coast, passing through Limanağzı and reaching Sisla. Alternatively, you can take a short boat trip from Kaş to Limanağzı and arrive 1.5 hours earlier by starting the hike from there.
After breakfast, we continue our hike from Sisla to the ancient city of Aperlae. This ancient city, named "Aprillai", which means "River Gorge" in the Luwi language, was a small Lycian port and the hike takes about 7 hours. If you wish, you can go to Üçağız with a 3-hour walk from here or reach the village with a short boat transfer.
Kekova Island fascinates its visitors with its nature and history. This island, known as Dolichiste in the Luwi language, has historical ruins dating back to the 4th century BC. Here you can swim, spend time in restaurants, or join a boat tour to see the sunken city. Those who wish can also see the sunken city from above the water by renting a canoe.
After the rest day, we continue our hike from Karaöz to Adrasan. Karaöz offers a peaceful environment with its lush green nature. On the route, you can see impressive views from the 227-meter Gelidonya Lighthouse, the highest lighthouse in Turkey. There are stops with natural and historical value on the way, such as Menalippe Beach.
The Adrasan-Çıralı route is a challenging hike. Since you will be passing through the forest, there will be no water supply for the approximately 8-hour hike, so it is recommended that you bring enough water. From the summit, you will arrive at the Ancient City of Olympos with a magnificent valley view, and then Çıralı. After dinner, those who wish can visit Yanartaş (Chimaera) at or after sunset.
After breakfast, we start our hike from Çıralı to Tekirova. This route generally runs along the coast and offers plenty of opportunities to take landscape photos. You can take a break at Kıral Bay and Maden Bay, passing through turquoise waters and pine forests. If the hike ends early, you can visit the Ancient City of Phaselis, 5 km away. This is an important port city that has been under the rule of Persians, Carians, Lycians and Romans throughout history.
After breakfast, we move to Antalya with an approximately 1.5-hour coastal journey. This city, described by King Attalos II as "Heaven on Earth", is famous for its historical and natural beauties. You can visit the narrow streets and historical buildings in Kaleiçi. Düden Waterfall and Antalya Museum are worth seeing. You can also go to Manavgat Waterfall if you wish.
After breakfast, transfer to Antalya Airport (9 km) is provided.
